apt. making wife sick

we live in an apt. and about two months ago my wife started to get a rash we first thought it was part of the A/c unit because it smelt moldy. We left town for a weekend and it got better, but the rash still came back. Now there is a leak from the upstairs and it has been leaking on her wash sponge.
Is there and action i can take to get some type of compensation for Dr. visits, meds, etc.from the apts. help please!!

No; you have not proven in any way that your rental unit is responsible for the rash your wife has developed.

A better option is to focus on notifying your landlord (in writing) about the leak from above.
