Hi, I was riding my motorcycle on I-5 near downtown seattle and a mini-van essentially cut me off and hit the brakes. I locked my front brake and went over the handlbars at 60mph and landed in the adjacent lane where i was struck by a semi. I got a ticket in the mail referencing 46.61.400.1 with the reference to 'Exceeding Reasonable Safe Speed Avoid Collision.' I've read the statute and here's my question:

How do I logically fight this ticket?

any help would be much appreciated,

john

OMG, I hope you weren't hurt badly! What was the speed limit on I-5 in the area you were driving before you were cut-off by the mini-van, at what point were you ticketed, are there any witnesses to the accident listed on the police report, and what was the police officer's summary on the report as to what caused the accident?
