Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication Arrested in April ,, Held 72 hours and released, Now an arrest warrant?

I was arrested several months ago and taken to the county jail and held 72 hour and released being told the substance that they thought was cocaine may not have been the issue and they prompty released me with no formal charges on cocaine posession, I was never arraigned just released from jail.

Here I am several months later and the county sherrif has sent me a letter saying that they have issued a warrant for my arrest and to come turn myself in. somthing doesnt seem right with this dont they have to arraign you within 72 hours of the initial arrest?

You've been watching too much television.

They have a least a year to issue the warrant.

They have certain amount of time to arraign you if your in custody,I think thats the confusion. Contact a criminal attorney then turn yourself in like the letter says.
