My wife was in an auto-accident in New Jersey. I own the car but our insurance has both of us insured. Accident fault has not yet been determined. Could I ever be sued for this accident as I own the vehicle?
Thank you.

Expect that your name would be dragged on the case, should a case be filed, because you owned the car. I suggest that you consult a car accident lawyer to help you with your case.

This is why you have liability insurance. If you are sued, contact the insurance company. They will provide you with an attorney at their expense and will handle the case. If you are sued and held liable for damages, then your liability insurance should cover it. This makes the insurance company paranoid, and very motivated to help.
