My husband was arrested for auto theft a few days ago. Story as I hear is there was three guys, my husband being one. He was a passenger in the car. One of the guys stole it and another drove it to a scrap yard. My husband had a bad feeling and took off. My husband is no saint but insist that he did not steal the car. When the report was read in court, it states the one of the guys arrested said it was my husband that stole the car and a warrant was issued. One, I like to know how the police can take the word of a convict that was running from the law and two, how can I go about helping him prove that he was not the one that stole the car? The two other guys involved were not charged with anything. Any help is appreciated. Thank you and have a blessed day.

There isn't much for you to do. Help him obtain an attorney you trust and provide moral support.

I suspect that there are three different stories regarding the stolen car. Consider that you might not have the full story.
