Yesterday I was caught shoplifting. I've shoplifted many times, this was the first time I got caught and while it was a wake-up call for me I am really torn on what to do now. They gave me the option of civil recovery without calling the police, a $100 fine, which isn't bad, and they banned me from all locations of that particular grocery store chain. The problem is, I work at another location of this particular chain. I asked them whether or not I would lose my job and they told me to contact my store manager and speak to him about it. I honestly don't care if they fire me at this point, I was planning on quitting next week anyway, but seeing as they banned me from all locations and took down my name and picture, will I get in trouble if I show up for work on Thursday? How will I pick up my next two paychecks? I just want this to be over - I don't want to call the manager and beg for my job back, I just want to get my paychecks and get out, but should I call before going in (I'm scheduled to work tomorrow, first time since the event, and also my paycheck for last week comes out tomorrow, and I will have to pick one up NEXT thursday for this week's work)? I'm not sure what to do... I just want to avoid confrontation and embarrassment as much as possible
