I am currently in hopes of attending law school, but I am confused. In 1994 i was arrested for financial fraud and my attorney told me that it would be best to accept the diversion program that the prosecutor was willing to give since it was my first and only offense. I accepted that program and in return the prosecutor would file a "nolle prosequi". I finish the requirement and went on with my life. Now it seems that I will not be able to sit fpr the bar exam because i have a criminal history. I have heard about expunging records but i am not sure if I even qualify for it and if I don't qualify then I cannot take the bar exam. is that correct?
