i rent part of a house and my rent is $150.00 a week. My boss is also my landlord. I was out sick for one week so I fell behind a bit. She laid me off ans 2 days later put a 3 day notice on my door. She said that because I rent by the week she only has to give 3 days notice. Is this true?

Attached are the steps to evict someone in Florida. The first step is a 3 day notice for ALL tenants (no matter how often they pay their rent). The tenant has 3 days to catch up with what they owe:

However, the landlord cannot actual evict you; only the court can do that. If payment is not received within the three days, the landlord can then file for eviction through the court system.
