First off let me say that I know most people say they have done nothing wrong. However I have the proof in black & white.

My husband & I both worked for a company, I was laid off - due to lack of work. He resigned about a month later. We started our own business.

There was alot of cash brought into the store through sales. The store that my husband worked out (ran) - would use the cash to get cashier checks to pay for the items that were sold. (as instructed by the owner).

Just before he resigned he deposited $12,000.00 into the business account. The owner was not happy. He also gave them the copies of the cashiers checks showing where the cash had been sent to, ( to pay for the items).

Now they are trying to have the states att. press charges against him for stealing the cash that was used to buy the cashier checks. They have the copies but are still claiming that he took the money.

I have copies to prove them wrong but they are running all over town & in the business telling everyone that he is gong to jail.

We have our own business & it is starting to effect us. Any ideas?

Send this gentleman a certified return receipt letter stating that he is slandering your good name and that if he does not immediately cease and desist that you will file a slander suit against him and make him pay dearly. If he doesn't retract, or at least stop his statements, do just that.
