being sued by ex employee

i use to own a paint and bodyshop i have since lost the business in december 2008 i am currently in bankruptcy and have not worked since december i was just served with summons papers that i am being sued by a employee that qiut on me on a friday afternoon from june of last year then he called to get his job back and i refused now he is saying that i fired him assaulted him and did not pay for overtime this is far from the truth,but he found an attorney to take his case i have my employees that seen him qiut on me with no violence at all however i can not afford an attorney what does somebody in my situation do
