Beverly Hills Red Light Ticket

I was recently given a red light ticket from the city of Beverly Hills. I received the ticket in the mail, and it clearly shows it’s me and the vehicle I own. The camera shows I got into the intersection about half a second into the red light. It was evening time, and there were few cars around. I went online and had my ticket postponed until the end of August. I want to ask if I have any options besides paying for it and going to traffic school. The fine is $500.00. I already postponed it, so I acknowledged I received it. Here are my two questions:

1. I know that they assign the court hearings in the L.A. County courthouse in Santa Monica. I live about a 30 minute drive from there, and work about a 45 minute drive from there. Is there any legal way I can have it transferred to a different courthouse within the county (a county seat I think it's called)? I am wondering that if this is possible, I can try my luck and maybe the city won't send someone to the courthouse I have it moved to. My understanding is that if they don't show up, it's excused.
2. If I can't move the court location, can I schedule a court hearing, plead leniency in the $500? Do they ever agree to this kind of thing? I am a public school specialist, with limited funds.
3. If I lose a court hearing on my ticket, can I still go to traffic school?

Before I offer some suspect legal advice, read this article. The article lays out a path to freedom, if you haven't made a fatal mistake.

People RARELY receive the outcome they seek in traffic court.
If you were convicted in traffic court, no, traffic school is not an option.
No, you must appear at the location noted on the citation.
Why?
That's the court that oversees the locality where the citation was issued.

If you are convicted, and the fine is $500, you can make payment arrangements.
In essence, they TRY to accommodate a person's financial situation.

Some people serve jail time, if funds are really tight.

They are somewhat flexible.

TWO sure fire ways to prevail:
1 --- You can look into deferred adjudication (a plea, pay them their tribute, serve 60-90 days unsupervised probation - meaning no new tickets - the ticket gets dismissed.
It never happened. You never were cited.

2 --- Take traffic school.

HINT: You aren't required to disclose who might have been driving your car if your image isn't clear in the SCAMERA photo.
No matter what the persecutor threatens, you don't have to disclose, other than it ain't me.

Some things you might find helpful. These red light SCAMERAS have their critics. Some wear black robes.
