Bounced Checks Individual to Individual to BUSINESS

Here is an interesting scenario. An indiividual writes a check to another individual for $2K. The payee on the check has overdraft protection that roles into a business account. The check then bounces, goes into the business account and then overdraws that account. The business isn't happy.

The check was written to the individual -- not the business.

What is the recourse and process for the payee and the payer...??

I'm not sure I understand and maybe the terms are incorrect. Are you saying that the individual who writes the check (payor) to the payee has insufficient funds in his (payor's) account and the overdraft protection rolls into a business which also has NSF?
