Having rheumatoid arthritis has become a situation in which I cannot live alone any longer. My lease is wretched, and is run by a corp. Any hope of my getting out of it without being sued? If I get hurt living here alone I may sue THEM.

Have you discussed this matter with them and, perhaps, presented a letter from your physician regarding not being able to live alone any longer?

Are there other options open to you such as subletting if management refuses to allow you to break your lease?

Thanks for your quick reply. My next step is to discuss this with my RA doctor and see if he is willing to provide me some type of documentation on this, and then approach them with my situation. My biggest concern is that this is a corp. and not an owner.

Subletting would be impossible I think, this is a big complex, and I can't sustain giving someone a great deal and paying the balance each month, and why else would someone come into a place such as this otherwise.
