About a month ago, my landlord took me to court for supposed unpaid rent, utilities, etc. However, the court granted my landlord no money because there was no money to be owed. Since then, certain things have been happening between my landlord and me that dont seem quite right. In my lease it states that the following utilities are included in my total months rent: water, sewage, trash, and gas. I have received two water shut off notices for outstanding balances and my trash hasnt been picked up in 2 weeks. On top of this, my landlord had my car towed from the buildings resident lot, without any warning or notice. I was not parked in an assigned spot, nor in a 'no parking' spot. In fact, in my lease, the following are the rules and regulations for parking:

Tenant may not park any truck, trailer, or broken motor vehicle in the parking areas of the building. Tenant may not park in any area parked "NO PARKING". Tenant may not perform any auto mechanical work in any parking area of the leased premises.

My biggest problem with this is that there are a few cars that ARE broken down in the resident lot that were not towed. The landlord wrote down my plate number and the make and model of my car upon move in, so he is aware that the car that was towed was indeed mine. Is this harassment? Also, how can I go about breaking my lease for shut off utilities?

There is line that cannot be crossed by either party in cases like yours. You are best to take your version of events and your lease to a Tenant Landlord Lawyer before makin assumptions that could land you in court
