Is there any loophole or protection for breaking a 1-year rental agreement early? The lease was signed just two days ago. The lease specifies that if the contract is broken early, the tenant is responsible for the remainder of the months the unit is not rented. I heard that in the state of CT, the tenant has three days to break the contract, regardless of the signed lease. It would need to put it in writing, and must be done within three days of signing the lease. Is this accurate? Is there a web site that will show the CT rental laws? Thank you
