Okay here goes-
The first time I got cited, I was driving. I had a defective tail lamp, and as such a State Patrol officer pulled me over in Steamboat Springs CO. He smelled the Marijuana in the truck and a search revealed a pipe and a small portion of it. Upon issuing me a roadside sobriety test he determined I was not impared- A good thing, because I wouldve recieved a DUID. I got a Posession/ Paraphanalia ticket insted. I went to court for that and the DA differed my sentance which removed the para. I have since completed the community service required for the posession charge.
Now on to the next part-
About 3 weeks after my first court hearing in Steambooat, my friend was tailgating through winter park, CO and got pulled over. A search revealed 2 pipes and one bag of marijuana (wich we both claimed). I recieved another posession/ paraphanelia ticket, as did she (along with the driving citation). I go to court in 2 weeks for that.
My question is; should I be worried about getting representation? Will these tickets overlap? And if anyone could guess the outcome of this hearing, I would really appriciate some dialouge.
Keep in mind, Colorado is rather lineant on Marijuana laws, and especially in mountain towns like Winter Park.
