Buying property from owner and selling back to owner

I am a resident of Columbia South Carolina and would like to get some legal information on buying and selling a home. I am interested in getting into real estate but not exactly sure about how real estate work when working with the owner of property. Is it possible to purchase a home from the owner and resell back to the owner? How does this work in the state of South Carolina?

Sure you can buy a home and sell it back to the same person. I'm not sure why you'd want to. If someone is giving you a great idea about doing something like this, my first thought would be "scam." Doesn't sound right. Does it make any sense to you?
