Hi,

My friend's father purchased a laptop from his son. After a few weeks later they had a dispute which let to his son admitting that it was stolen and threatening him that he would call the authorities on him becuase he's in possession of stolen goods. He purchased the laptop without knowing it was stolen. He no longer have the laptop because he threw it away because it didn't cut on.Fast foward a few days later now a detective is calling his phone. What should he do at this point?

Thanks that was very informative. Since he doesn't have the laptop anymore, could he get into even more trouble than he is now?

It is very simple, mate, a fish only gets hooked in its BIG mouth when it opens it.

If dude doesn't blab, no one can prove a damn thing.

You never have to answer anyone's question because they ask.

You can always say, "I have nothing to talk to you about. Please go away and leave me alone. Thank you."

The cops aren't stupid.

The cops are very smart and try many tricks to get stupid people to blab.

If you don't open that piehole, you can't be blabbing, and you won't be lying.
