My husband is a company truck driver. In 2000 he received a fix-it ticket in Needles, CA. The company he was driving for was supposed to take care of it. We just received a collection notice from San Bernardino County Courts saying that he failed to appear and had not paid the ticket and owes $392. I called to get a copy of the citation so we could send it to the company so they could take care of it. I was told that they don't keep the citations that long. I can't believe that after 9 years they send us this. We have never received anything about this until now. The letter also said that they put a DMV hold on his driver's license. My husband no longer works for the company, so we don't know if they will take care of it. If this was driver responsibility, why did it take 9 years for them to contact us?
