CA. A couple of applications to rent an RV space are asking for my bank account numbers. I'm uncomfortable providing them. I don't mind giving my driver's license # or even my social security # although I would prefer just giving the last 4 digits. I also don't mind stating what type of bank accounts I happen to have.
My questions: 1) Is it common practice to provide bank account numbers for a common credit check?
2) Am I right to be uncomfortable?
3) Is there a good tactic for dealing with the specific space on the application, such as just writing "Yes" in the account numbers block?
4) Can a credit check be made with my full name, birth date, drivers license number and last four of my social security number.
