WACO, Texas (KWTX) - A Central Texas man is accused of attaching photos of a woman engaged in sex acts in messages sent to the victim's relatives, an arrest warrant states.
Caleb Akers, 25, is charged with unlawful disclosure or promotion of intimate visual material, a criminal complaint states.
Akers, according to the document, also threatened to kill the woman in some of the messages.
Police were alerted about the messages and threats in September 2024.
Investigators learned the victim had dated Akers in the past and the photos were taken for private use only.
Once the victim stopped dating Akers, the man began sending threatening text messages to the victim and her family, police wrote in the warrant.
According to the affidavit, the victim's mother received one of the messages containing intimate visual images of her daughter.
A warrant was issued for Akers in September 2024. He was arrested on Aug. 5, 2025.
Akers is being held at the McLennan County Jail.
