I have an outstanding credit card debt in the state of Texas and had a judgement ruled agaist me. My wife and I were not married a the time and we now reside in NY. Can they garnish my wifes wages because i am currently unemployed? They have not done so yet, but today my wife received a phone call to verify employment at her job. they asked for her and when she answered they said"yea whatever" and hung up. Also would this help me at all: When I applied for this credit card approx. 6 years ago i had my wife(then girlfriend) fill out an online application for me since she was at the computer. She accidently used her SSN instead of mine, but with all my other correct info and they still issued me the card. I only found this out when I called a CSR at Chase and they asked for my SSN and when I gave them mine they informed me that it was not the one they had. I then gave them my girlfriends and they said that was the one they had and they were not sure why the card was issued to me with an incorrect SSN. Anyway any help would be appreciated.
