I have a few questions. I have been divorced since June 2009.
My ex-husband has visitation with our daughter, when it is his time to have her, she is often left with her grandparents and he doesn't spend time with her, is there anything I can do about that?
We agreed on child support at the time of the divorce it didn't go through the courts, is there anything I can do to increase child support, if so what?
When the divorce what finalized we agreed to stay in the state of Kentucky, what do I need to do if I deceide to move out of state?
Also, he purcahsed a laptop for me as a christmas gift and it is still being paid for, at the time of the divorce I was working and I agreed to make the payments or return the computer, I am now unemployeed, and having trouble making the payments, is there any way that I can have this changed without having to return the computer to him?

You seem to want to renege on the entire agreement because of your conveniences. Without going any further on my judgments of your statements, let me tell you what you can do, but warn you that you aren't going to be able to get all that you want.

I am going to sound like I'm against you, and that may not be fair, but please realize that the Judge is going to look at it like I am now. You JUST GOT A DIVORCE less than 6 months ago and you are already wanting to change all the major agreements in the divorce to ones that are better for you. No one is going to look kindly on that.

There is nothing you can do about this. What he does with his visitation time is his business and you have to stay out of it. If there is something dangerous or bad for the child, you could contest his visitation, but your opinion on how well he is handling his visits isn't relevant. If you think about it you should be glad. Do you want him making judgments about who you see, and what you do with your time when you have the children?

Child support is always decided by the courts. It might not be paid through the courts but it is decided by the courts (I don't know of a jurisdiction that will give you a divorce with minor children without a child support order.) I take it now you want to make him pay the court? The court will only take this point of view if there is good reason to do so. If he is very late with his payments or refusing to pay them all together. If he is less than 30 days late on his support he is in compliance. There may be something you can do about temporarily increasing child support because you are unemployed but you are going to be required to get a job soon.

You are going to have a hard time moving out of state and keeping custody of the children. You JUST agreed to it THIS YEAR! and you are already backing out of the agreement.

Pay for the laptop or give it up. This particular point makes you sound like you are somehow entitled to get what you want whether you can pay for it or not.

You are not doing yourself any favors with the way you look in these questions. You can be upset with me or you can learn from my critique. I don't know what your marriage was like and really, I don't care. You look like you got a divorce in BAD FAITH and now that things are a little harder you want to change everything for your convenience.

I know I could be reading it all wrong, don't take it personally, I'm just telling you how it looks. Good luck.

Why do you think you can completely go against everything you agreed to? you are obviously irritated at Dad and looking to use the child as a pawn. you cannot move out of state without dad's permission, especially since you agreed not too. As far as visitation, it does not matter if the child is with the grandparents. As far as child support, you might be abnle to ask for full guidelines but you need a good reason and you are openining up a big can of worms. Do you want another custody battle on your hands? If you are looking to go against what you agreed to in the decree, Dad can ask that you pay his legal fees if he does decide to seek counsel.

The laptop is a civil issue but since you previously made payments, it is not a gift so why should you be allowed to keep it without paying?
