can ex roommate sue me for rent or utilities?

the breakdown: S and I lived together for 2 months, I was not on the lease. verbal agreement that I would pay half of every bill. S kicked me out 9 days after I gave her my half of rent. Now 3 months later she wants to sue me for various bills. Can she?

Yes she can. Will she win? Probably not.
If she sues you file a counterclaim for the rent money you paid since you were only there 9 days.
If any award is given she may end up owing you.
