I Need Advice, Please Help!!!! When My Grandmother Passed Away, I Recieved A Part Of Her Estate Because My Mother Is Deceased. One Of My Mother's Brothers Has Decided To Gravel And Cope The Cemetary Lot Where My Grandmother Is Buried . The Cost For This Is 2,200.00. He Has Sent Me A Bill Wanting Me To Pay For 1/4 Of This Charge. He Says There Was A Verbal Agreement That This Work Would Be Paid From The Proceeds Of Grandmother's Estate. He Has Given Me 10 Days To Pay 1/4 Of This Bill. Can I Be Held Responsible For This?

It was not in writing and it sounds like you did not verbally agree or even know about the "agreement" right? Who susposedly did he make thia agreement with? And were you consulted about the work done on the grave at all or did he just go and do it?

No, he cannot make you pay for it. However, if your mother and the rest all agreed, it would be the correct thing to do. This is especially true if you expect any of them to leave any of their estate to you.
