Can I be sued for discarding belongings?

I let a friend stay at my place for seven days,she had one bag of clothes with her. I stayed at a family members house while she stayed at mines.When i came back my dining room was cluttered with all of her belongings. she was not at my place when i came back home. i text her and she said she would come pick up her stuff in three days. i gave her two and a half weeks to retrieve her belongings and never showed. i discarded her belongings now eight months later she's sueing me. Can she sue me or is it considered abandonment?

Even if i didnt give her permission to bring her belongings??... and never showed up to pick them up??
