Consumer Law, Warranties Can I be sued

I had an oral contract with a friend and now he has finished the job and is asking for double the money of what we agreed to. He is threatening to sue me. Am I obligated to pay over the original oral agreement amount? He is leaving me threatening messages on my phone and email me at work. Please Help!!

Unless there is more to this story you're not telling us, you're not obligated to pay more than you agreed to. Tell him to go ahead and sue you if he thinks otherwise.
