I live in California my child lives in Ohio I just recently found out the mother of my child is in prison and its been in prison for 4 years after finding out I file for custody now I'm waiting to find out what the court say can I get custody of my child

It "seems like" you are saying you filed for custody & you're waiting for the court's decision. There's no way we can know for certain what will be decided.
