can I get money back from party hall

I put a deposit of $3,500.00 for the rental of a party hall for my daughter's 15th birthday party. One of the sponsors was supposed to provide the money for the remainder of the balance. Unfortunately, they did not. I tried to get a refund from the hall but they refused. I did sign a contract- is there any way out of it or any exceptions? Is it worth trying to sue for it? I can understand keeping a percentage of the money but not all of it. The 3500 is exactly half of the total cost. The agreement states no refunds.

Well I suppose you can certainly try to sue them for part of it, but depending how far in advance you cancelled you might be out of luck, especially if the contract you signed said no refunds.
