During a recent internal audit we found that our insurance provider has been charging us for 2 locations. One location is our actual store the other is a storage unit we had for about a year. We have not had the storage unit for 3 years now but have been paying for insurance on the unit(did not realize this). I asked for a credit they said no. Am I intitled to a partial refund? What do I need to do now. Im guessing total amount i overpaid is about $3000.

I am going to just guess that you failed to notify the insurance company that you were no longer requiring the storage space coverage. If that is the case then you won't get your money back. However, if you did notify them that you no longer wanted the coverage of the storage, then you can make a legitimate claim.

hate to say this but Im not sure one way or the other. But even if I did I cant prove it. I do know I asked them to change my mailing address at least 3 times and that never happend.

The mailing address is a separate issue.

You contacted them at some point and asked for coverage on that storage space. How are they do know you no longer need the coverage if you do not tell them? You have now told them, unfortunately three years later, that you don't need it... so from this point they should no longer charge you for it.
This appears to be an oversight on your part, not theirs.
