My husband went to the court and got an order that compels me to cooperate in renewing our 2 kids' expired passports, on the argument that he wants to take them to an Asian country. Despite my arguments that I fear for the safety of my kids since this country does not honour the Hague convention International Parental Children Kidnapping, the judge passed this order. What can I do to prevent my husband from leaving the US with my kids who are US citizens?

Unless a crime has been commited by your husband against your children and you have their full custody, there is no way you can prevent him from leaving the country. He is also a parent to your children and as such, he has the right to be with them. If you have confirmation that your husband's intention is to kidnap your children, then consult with an attorney and have him present the case in front of a judge so he can rule on it. Good Luck!

You need an attorney big time if you do not have one. It can be ordered that these renewed passports get turned in until custody is derermined.
