I am the administrator of my uncles will in which he left me a mobile home that i nor anyone else wants. Am I legally responsible for that home ? I tried to sell it however the land owner basically wants it off her property which for me to do so would cost $3750 out of my own pocket. What are my rights, am i the responsible party? There are numerous nieces and nephews and a daughter-in-law too.

Yes, you can refuse an inheritance via way of a will as the conveyance.

However, it seems as if you've already acerpted the home.

If you have, the landowner can have the home removed and come after you for the removal costs, as well as any temporary storage costs (and back rentals owed).

She'd have to sue you for the amounts in question.

If you haven't accepted the home, she'd have to sue the estate if your deceased uncle.

There isn't any paper work for the home due to the age. I did make the monthly rent payments with his estate account, however this account is almost empty .The land lord is threatening me with a lawsuit if not removed from her property. Can she sue me personally or just his estate if I am the administrator and the inheritor of the estate?

His estate can be sued.

If his estate is broke, it'll be a waste of her time.

She probably won't believe that and will likely sue anyway.

Most people are hell bent on suing others.

I think they watch too many television programs.

You aren't personally liable as the estate administrator.

Thank you Army Judge this has been worring me for the past 3 months. I was led to believe that if I was left this property that I had to accept it, and that being the administrator(executor)of the estate I was personally resopnsible anyway. You have taken a load off my mind.
