my ex and I have custody papers about my son. I was wondering if there was a way I could stop my ex from seeing my son on the weekends if it is for my sons well being. See my son has to have physical thereapy 7 days a week and lately his father had not been doing the exercises or giving him is medicine he should have. i want to know if i have the right to stop his father from seeing him. thank you.... confused mother....

my ex tells me he does not do them with him and also my son tells me he does not do his excersises. I can't stop him even though it is for the well being of my child?

Nope, Dad is free to do what he wanta with the child on his weekends. How are away does Dad live from therapy? If you have a legit medical reason for the therapy (7 days a week seems excessive and it probably will not hurt to skip a few days) then you'll probably need a DR note to get Dad to comply but if Dad is a long distance away, getting him to comply might be difficult.

If your son has muscular dystrophy or some other condition that requires daily home exercises, then you should absolutely modify your visitation order. Your ex can be ordered to provide the exercise, and if he doesn't, then he will be in contempt. Your son's doctor's diagnosis and the schedule of exercises he prescribed will be needed for court.

Good luck
