My wife and I are currently going through a divorce. She went to the local pcs store and lied to get my phone records. She was successful with obtaining the records and has since called several of the numbers on the record to verify/confirm who they are. I reported the case to the Sprint Regional Security Manager, who has investigated the case and fired the employee who violated their policy. The damage is done, but can I sue Sprint for this violation of personal security?

If you want to file a suit because your reputation was ruined amongst those that were on your phone records, that is not enough to build a case.

The question here is - What impact having access to your phone records has had on you? You have to prove to the courts that because of her actions, you have suffered the loss of something. So, the question to you is what is that something? If you can show the courts that, then you can try and sue them, but it will be considered a very weak case. Good Luck!
