Some background: My parents divorced when I was 2, and I lived primarily with my mother. In 2014 I decided to get to know my dad better and move in with him (that went south when he continuously beat me, leading me to run away). I moved in with some relatives and life went on. CPS took up a case of child abuse with my father but had to drop the case when he moved out of their jurisdiction. I moved back in with my mother and life was going great when she decided to get into drugs and she went crazy.
Yesterday: My mother got in an argument with my stepdad and bit his thumb and drew blood. My mother also called the police, making many false claims (one being that my stepdad was holding my 5 year old brother over the stair rails threatening to drop him). The police came over, my stepdad showed them his thumb and they arrested my mother. The police said that since there was physical evidence, it counts as a domestic violence incident and is a felony.
I read that (if convicted) you can go to jail anywhere from 30 days to 4 years for all the stuff my mom has done, if that happens, can my dad force me to live with him? He only has legal custody but my stepdad has no custody at all.....
