can my ex's family sue me?

well my my girlfriend has pretty bad past,
but i decided to let it go and just have our own life.
so i did so much things for her it was long distance relationship 2:30min drive
so i drove every weekend to see her sometimes everyday even though i worked.
however i moved to a different state and we couldnt really see each other
but we were still together so she came one day i introduced her to my family and all
and then 3 weeks later we broke up after an argument that she was gonna go out drinking even though she was sick.
and the very next day she got a new boyfriend and from sources she already has slept with him.
what the fuck...
anyways thats that she didnt even care how my family felt or anything and i never talked to her since we broke up because i was so shocked.
so i sent a letter to her parents house about her dirty pasts and what she was doing.
there were some vile language included in the letter but nothing that was threatening them.

It doesn't appear that you have given anyone a good reason to sue you. That doesn't mean they won't try it anyway.

I don't know that you've violated any laws by what you've done. But, I suggest you do no more. You go your way, let her go hers. Have a good life. Move on, apparently she as done that already.
