Hi Guys, I'm a student lawyer (first year) from waaayyy on the otherside of the world to you (in New Zealand) and currently have a question - which is 'Can One Incident Constitute Sexual Harassment?'.

I've been told that it depends. In "quid pro quo" cases, a single sexual advance may constitute harassment if it is linked to the granting or denial of employment or employment benefits - but I'm at odds as single sexual advances dont really create a hostile environment. Any thoughts?

any sexual advancements at the work place could be considered inappropriate, and therefor sexual harassment, thats why so many companies show you those videos:)

Sounds like our company missed the memo...

We dont have those types of videos.....would think it would be more common sense.

I was just making sure if Sexual Harassment was a longterm issue, or if it can also be reported if it's done only once. I would if once, they would be let off on a warning.
