Can she be charged?

I was arrested and charged with a drug crime. I am approaching trial. My girlfriend was my former co-defendant. Her charges were dismissed as she was innocent and had nothing to do with the incident. She was there at the time of my arrest and was taken in with me. I have an alibi proving that I was not present when the alleged crime took place. She had an appt. to have her car serviced and so I went with her taking my car. She dropped her car off and left with me as she needed a ride. The alleged crime took place within 2 minutes of her appt. Receipts prove that I was not at the place the crime took place. Because the receipts are in her name as the car being serviced belonged to her, my lawyer says that she may have to give a deposition. I am worried that the prosecutor will conjure charges to bring against her. Mind you, she was charged just as I but, charges were later dismissed. I do not want her to become involved in something that may jeopardize her getting in trouble once again over something that had nothing to do with her. Please advise.

Also, case is over a year old. Her case was closed and charges were dismissed over a year ago.

You worry too much.

Follow your lawyer's advice.

His is based on legal conclusions.

Yours are based on emotion.

If you fail to follow his advice, you do so at your peril.

Your lawyer is being to do the thinking.

You should do as you're told, if you want to defeat this charge.

I understand that I need to trust and have faith in my lawyer but, I am just wondering if it is possible if charges could be brought against her again.....just for any reason?

I can't guarantee what anyone else will do.

But, if the facts are as you describe them, I don't see how that could happen.

You lawyer would warn you if she were on jeopardy for telling the truth.

All she'll be doing is testifying as to your whereabouts.

She'll be your alibi.

I don't see how that would get her in trouble.

You were not breaking the law, according to your account of events.

You were awaiting a car repair.
