Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft Can they compare previous store footage?

Hey,

I got caught yesterday stealing something from Storer name in canada

They took my picture and called the cops, but no charges were pressed - just a civil fee is being sent to me.

I'll never steal again - but I have stolen before form other shoppers drug marts : (

Can the store compare footage from other stores within the last months or so to my photo and press further charges? If so, am I just completely %&$#?

The likihood they will go through hours upon hours of video footage on the "chance" they "might" something is very very low
