can you do a DNA test w/o mom concent?

i am being told by people that my boyfriend and his family had a DNA test done on my son after i came back fom out of state. i have no knowlage of this and am looking stupid when i say it. i have never signed anything to have this done, and my boy friend has signed the birth certificate. even after i asked him if he wanted the test done to see if i really had cheated on him and had another persons kid. he said no, and signed.

is it legal for him and his family to do that? i always thought that it wasnt posible for that to happen without my concent.

i live in michigan.

A: There is no law covering this.





A DNA test can be performed if there is a DNA sample.

to do a non court ordered DNA test I do not believe he needed your permisison. If he had the child with him that is all he needed. It is not legal binding but I suppose he could walk into a lab and get it done.

As far as the miscariage, no there is no law that you have to tell someone but common sense says if you miscarried, you should let the father know. It's not technically a child but a fetus. A miscarriage is considered a pregnancy loss before 20 weeks.
