cani sue my ex for money i gave for and eviction ?

just recently i was supposed to be moving from pa to alabama with my now ex. i was about to pay his phone bill from the airport when i realized i didnt know what i was spending this money on and took the time to look through his phone records. i found out he was picking whores up from craigslist. when i tried to ask him about it he hung up on me so i turned around and just came back to pa. now im living out of a friends basement because i invested so much into this move. i want to know if im allowed to get my $300. back ?

It's debatable whether you can sue for the $300 but, if you would, you'd have to do so in Alabama if you want to use small claims court, the cheap way. You could make a case for "detrimental reliance" and that he induced you to come to Alabama based upon false promises. Is it worth the time investment?
