Capital One harrasment

Several years ago I had a problem with a capital one credit card and reported it to them as having bad charges on it. At that time they told me not to worry and issued me a new account.

Now earlier this year I was sued over the old account and I told them to close the other one and I did not want to do any business with them. The orignal amount of has tripled of what I owe, and when I called them they new nothing about the case and said I was in good standing.

Now this weekend I get a call from them saying I am late on a payment on the second account that was suppose to have been closed, because they say it wasnt. I continuously get email, us postal mail and phone calls from them wanting me to do business with them. Refi's of home credit cards and such.

Is there anything I can do to stop them from harassing me with all the mail and calls and how to I get them to do what there customer service people say they are going to do, There job.
 
Get an answering machine.
 
Do you have anything in writing from customer service?
