10 years ago, after filling out the application, I received a Capital One card.
I was not married at the time.
Now, at the age of 77 I find my finances have dwindled and my only income is my SS. I'm also in poor health.
Would it be wise to contact Cap One and cut a deal on what I owe on my card?
Balance is: $14,000.
I have never had a late payment with them, but cannot continue to make the $375 monthly payment and still survive.
Anyone's help is appreciated.

A: Yes; since you are not in default, they may be willing to talk to you. Get all agreements (if any) in writing.
