Hello!
I purchased a brand new 2015 Mazda CX 5 on Saturday. We had a car to trade in, but did not have it with us. We were upfront and honest about the condition. Price was agreed upon contract and invoice signed for the car with $200 to hold the car, since we wanted to finance through our bank we would have to wait until Monday. We go in the next day Sunday to bring in the trade in for them to inspect. Our salesperson immediately comes back and goes off on us saying we lied about the condition of the trade in. We were very civil and said ok if the car is not what you expected we will leave and you can shred the paperwork. Our salesperson says no no stay here let me see what I can do. He gets the general manager who immediately calls us liars as well and goes off on how deceitful we were. Again we said fine it looks like this is not going to work, please shred the papers bye, at this point we just wanted to get the HELL out of there and get away from the situation. The GM continues to follow us and laughs and says good luck selling that piece of sh*t.
My question is: We still have all our copies of the original deal, contract, etc. what can we do legally? We have the invoice and both VIN numbers (for the new car and my car are listed on the contract).
