car fiance query

the house that i own and rent out was recently raided by police for reasons unknown while i was away. as my car keys were being looked after by my tenant the police conviscated my vehicle. i have tried to get it back and have just been told that it has been returned to my finance company even though i have been pay9ing me finance every month without fail. my finance company have now told me they will not give me my car back and are going to sell it and any shotfall will be billed to me. is this legall what they are doing and what can i do?

the finance company must think you did something illegal w. this car ( usa loan notes have verbage that states if the car is involved w. any illegal activity they can take the car). So you need to talk to the finance co and tell them you were not involved and you need a pay off. Get a loan somewhere else and pay the current finance company in full--- I dont know the laws and rules in the UK
