Hey guys I wanted to ask something. So last month (5/26/2017) I decided to go to a pay here buy here dealers to get a different cat. I already owed on a 2008 nissan Altima and they said it was fine. That they will take the 08 Altima and pay it off and add it to my new loan. It has been a whole month now and they haven't done anything about the car paper work. I now keep on getting calls from the bank (for the 08 altima) asking me if I'm going to pay. My credit isn't the best right now and I'm afraid that it will get worst because they aren't doing the paperwork to pay off the 08 Altima. Is this a reasonable cause to sue for? Because of their negligence, my credit is going to be affected negatively.

Thanks.

You are obligated to keep paying your original loan until the transaction is completed. Sometimes it does take awhile. You should contact the lender and explain why the payment is late and make arrangements before your credit gets dinged.
Have you been in touch with the dealer to ask about the delay?
No, at this point it does not seem you have anything to sue over. Read over your purchase agreement for any terms you think they may have violated. There may not be anything yet.

You can provide to the lender a copy of your bill of sale showing that you traded the Nissan. Then they should be calling the dealer. And you should be calling the dealer. Before hiring an attorney to sue, for free you can call the dealer licensing division in your state and file a complaint.
