I purchased a brand new car about 3 years ago. Since then, I have had multiple problems with it. I have taken it in for several repairs on the engine. I am now having random issues with the headlights burning out every three months. I am making sure that they are installed correctly, but they still burn out every three months regardless of what I do. I had to have brand new tires on it after only two years. I really should have had them replaced sooner, but I could not afford it...I didn't expect to have to change my tires so soon after purchasing a brand new car. Now my dash lights are going off every once in a while. And, the gas cap suddenly won't screw on anymore. The car has several random malfunctioning problems with it. The car is a huge safety issue in my opinion. I realize it has now been three years, but some of these problems are just now coming more apparent, and even after three years, you should not have to replace headlights so often or have so many of these problems I have had. Oh, and the transmission fluid continuously turns black....they will not change it anymore unless I pay $150. I have taken this problem to them before, and think there is something wrong with my transmission, but they seem to think it is fine. I do not want to send these problems to somebody else, but I have to get rid of this car. Is there anything I can do with the company that I bought the car from to work out issues and get things fixed for free even if I am out of warranty. Can I work out any kind of refund or trade in? Or, is there any kind of rule about safety issues since this car has had the headlights go out so often or that the tires wore out so quickly?
