The other day I took my car into a Transmission mechanic.

The car was shifting hard. I wanted to know what was wrong with it as well as to get estimates of how much it would cost me to repair. That way I would be able to save up the needed money and then proceed with the repairs.

The mechanic I was talking to (also the owner of the store) ran some tests on it that said it wasn't shifting when it was supposed to.

I then asked him: "what could be the problem, how much for those problems?"
to which his reply was: "I don't know, I'd have to see inside the vehicle determine which of your parts are bad."

Naively I signed a contract that says:

"350 TORDI
to find Bad Parts 3 to to put Back; Fnot
OK'd"

Now, I have car that doesn't run. Have to pay $350 plus towing to get it out of their lot, plus storage fees. or 5 times as much for them to fix it.

Am I in trouble here, or is there something I can do about it?
thanks in advanced!
