Car Registration of Death

My mother died in 2007 and still owes on her 2006 Toyota Camry in which I currently drive. The car stills has a balance of $6,000 but the car is not in my name only in my mothers.My questions is. If I pay off the remaining off the car. Can I get the title put in my name or should I just return the car to the car lender.Please help me!!!

That really depends on how much the vehicle is worth, the value of your mother's estate, and any other claims. The vehicle belongs to the estate.
