I rented a car back in 2005, which I returned. My so called friend went behind my back and did a side deal with the manager (who has now been fired) got another vehicle using my info since he did not have a credit card ,crashed the car got it repaired and returned it. now i am being sued 10k for the damages since the repairs were not good. can I counter sue since former employee allowed this to happen, what evidence do I need to bring to court

I think you need a lawyer. You need to counter sue them for the problems they have caused you due to their poor management, time wasted, and misuse of your personal information, and even punitive………..
